Katie Pratt

[1969 - ]

Katie Pratt was born in Epsom, Surrey.  She studied painting at Winchester School of Art, and subsequently did an MA at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1998.

Her work was included in the ‘New Contemporaries’ exhibition in 1999 (Liverpool and London), and in 2001 she won the Jerwood Prize.  Other finalists that year included Ian Davenport, Basil Beattie and Peter Archer.

She has had solo exhibitions at Houldsworth Gallery in London, Kontainer Gallery in Los Angeles and Forum d’Art Contemporain in Sierre, Switzerland.  Her work has been extensively shown in group exhibitions worldwide.

She lives and works in London and her most recent solo exhibition was at the Fine Art Society from December 2011 – January 2012.
