Tricia Gillman

Tricia Gillman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1951, and completed a BA at Leeds University and an MFA at Newcastle University graduating in 1977.

She has exhibited both nationally and internationally for over twenty five years, and has been selected four times for the John Moores Painting prize at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.  She has had a series of exhibitions in London, initially with Benjamin Rhodes Gallery and in more recent years with Jill George Gallery.  In 1989 the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle organised an exhibition of her work which subsequently toured to the McManus Gallery in Dundee, the Glynn Vivian Gallery, Swansea and Plymouth City Art Gallery.

Tricia lives and works in London.  Her most recent exhibition was a retrospective survey of thirty years work at the APT Gallery in Deptford in the autumn of 2011:  a similar exhibition opens in October 2012 at the Lemon Street Gallery in Truro.
